Meet Our EM Fellows
Updates from Emergency Medicine Fellowship Director, Dr. Alan Heins, MD, MPH, FACEP...
Our EM Fellowship program is off to a great start with all completing ATLS on the first weekend, which led into our Introduction to Emergency Medicine didactic sessions. All are now into their 3rd week of clinical ED shifts.
We would like to take a moment to introduce you to our Fellows:
Karen Selin, MD
Karen Selin, MD, is a family physician who graduated from Duke University School of Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at the University of Vermont.
She has practiced for the last 20 years in Montana with a focus on Urgent Care, College Health, Women's Health, and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Selin and her family enjoy many outdoor sports including hiking and scuba diving.
Rahman Mohammed Abdul, MD
Being born and brought up in a family of physicians, I inherited a love and passion for Medicine. Sometimes I feel that it’s in my genes to provide care to people when they need it most.
I was born and brought up in India and my inquisitiveness for medicine made me pursue my medical school in Ukraine.
Fortunate to learn a rich heritage and culture along with Russian and Ukrainian language during my Medical school years, I decided to further expand my knowledge base.
In the most technological advanced country and among the skilled physicians, I completed family medicine residency.
During my residency years, I always had affinity towards Emergency Medicine. I found it to be challenging and most rewarding, and I wanted to do an Emergency Medicine fellowship. After interviewing at different programs I found IMM to be most promising in training me towards my goal. I am looking forward to an exciting year.
Our organization is committed to serving all of our patients with high-quality emergency care. In order to promote that objective, we have established an EM Fellowship Program to train physicians, who have completed Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs, to provide effective and efficient emergency medical care and to become independent emergency department physicians in community hospitals.
